Zazen encourages us to let go of the mind’s grasping for certainty, understanding that each moment reveals itself uniquely when we are not caught up in trying to fit it into preconceived ideas. As we engage in Zazen, we are not merely sitting; we are aligning our Attention to the pulse of Nowness, seeing the world with fresh eyes, uncolored by past experiences or future expectations. This continuous attentiveness, this undivided presence, is what transforms our perspective—beyond dualistic thinking, beyond transactional engagement.
Through a Zen lens, 見方 is not just about the angle from which we view the world but how we approach each encounter with a sense of openness and receptivity. It is the practice of seeing things as they are, unfiltered and unaltered, recognizing the interconnection of all beings and phenomena. It’s about allowing ourselves to be transformed by what we see, not imposing ourselves upon it.

It is not just a shift in perspective but a complete reorientation of BEing—where we move from reacting to minds narratives—entangled to intimately participating in its unfolding REALITY as REALITY.
